I have been in the USA and not writing of late. I am here to attend to family business, and seeing my mom who is turning 91 this week. My mom is the person who really started me off being involved in civil rights as we collected money for the NAACP when I was three. I have been involved in political action since then. I took my own child to her first demonstration when she was 18-months old in 2006, when we had a large pro-immigrants demonstration. There were 100,000 of us according to the papers.
I plan to attend a No Kings march while I am here, while many of my American friends back in Germany prepare their own No Tyrants march in Hamburg, the sister city to my own American city of Chicago. I am going to attend with my niece and some friends who are active here in Indivisible. Thousands have been protesting ICE’s actions and the complicity of some Chicago police in violating state law by helping them. Now we have been notified by the Trump administration that we will be one of 5 cities to which he is sending National Guard. So, it is good to have a plan, and go with buddies. I really appreciate the training because it seems like there is a lot one can do to protect oneself.
This is a quick post because I attended an Indivisible Training tonight. If you did not get a chance to attend ones here is some information.

Also, they said, over 2000 events are registered covering all 50 states. Also, there are 150 events registered in 17 different countries around the world.
There are No Tyrants, No Fascists, and No Dictators actions in countries that have Kings, so Americans abroad don't offend their home countries which may have monarchies. That is a rule of Democrats Abroad to not interfere in the host country’s politics while representing the Democratic Party of United States. I am also a member of Indivisible Deutschland. It is a branch of Indivisible Abroad. I know that Germany is having marches in 6 cities. I also attended a Democrats Abroad UK book club and know that they are having marches in several cities.

The training ended with Representative Maxwell Frost speaking. He said that if one studies movements around the world, the ones that have been successful are peaceful, non-violent, and capture the hearts of the people.
In Solidarity! ✌🏽
Thank you for your good work, Linda.
And Happy 91st for your mom.
